Applegate River Bridges

This $4.5 million contract was for the replacement of the Palmerton and Cameron. The work consists of the replacement of two deteriorating structures on a new alignment with two new concrete structures. Palmerton Bridge is 310-feet long, consisting of 48-inch and 36-inch drilled shaft foundations, and 3 spans of pre-stressed-concrete beams with a cast-in-place concrete deck. The Cameron Bridge is 305-feet long, consisting of 36-inch and 30-inch drilled shaft foundations and 4 spans of pre-stressed concrete beams with cast-in-place concrete decks. The two new bridges are complete and the demolition of the existing structures commenced July 5, 2006.
