Newport Wastewater Treatment Plant

This project consisted of construction of a new 15 MGD wastewater influent headworks, aeration basin, two secondary clarifiers, hypochlorite disinfection, septage receiving, emergency power generator, sludge tank, solids building containing a sludge pump station, centrifuge sludge dewatering, and biosolids lime pasteurization system, operation building, and maintenance building to provide 30/30 effluent at maximum month average daily flow of 5 MGD. The plant was constructed on a new eight-acre site that required clearing and grading. All piping in and out of the pump station was below the water table.
