San Luis Demonstration Treatment Plant

The San Luis Demonstration Treatment Plant, located in Firebaugh Ca. is a Water Treatment Plant for the US Department of Interior; Bureau of Reclamation. The scope involved constructing a pilot project to demonstrate the effectiveness of treating ground water to remove heavy metals and contaminants. The water treatment plant has pressure filters, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis and advanced biological metal removal system. A distribution system involved several miles of HDPE pipe and new vertical turbine pumps that brought in the water from the farm fields to the treatment plant.
